Chinatown Summer Fair

The Midwest’s largest Asian community festival takes over Wentworth Avenue for a weekend, now in its 46th year. It opens with a lion dance procession, then unfolds into kung fu demonstrations, cultural performances, and a street lined with dim sum, bubble tea, and skewers from Chinatown’s restaurants. Free to walk in, easy on the Red Line, and one of the best people-watching days on the South Side.
