Kids trick-or-treat car to car through the CRWC parking lot, where local businesses and groups open up decorated, Halloween-themed trunks and hand out treats. Admission and candy are free.
Crestwood's yearly trunk or treat turns the parking lot at the Crestwood Recreation & Wellness Center into a candy route for an afternoon. Instead of going door to door, kids walk car to car, where local businesses and community groups open up trunks they've decorated in Halloween themes and hand out treats at every stop. It runs from noon to 2 PM on Saturday, October 17, so it fits easily into a weekend before the big night. Admission and candy are both free, and Worth Township lists it as open to all ages, which makes it an easy pick for families with little ones who want a short, daytime Halloween outing. Costumes are part of the fun, so come dressed up. If you run a local business or group and want to hand out candy, the village invites you to host and decorate a trunk at no cost; sign-ups go through the village (contact Kelsey at kkolecki@crestwood.illinois.gov). For general questions, Worth Township can be reached at 708-371-2900.
