A community Halloween party at Douglass Park with skating, a costume contest, refreshments and music.
Douglass Park in North Lawndale hosts Skate or Treat, a free community Halloween party, on Friday, October 30, from 4 to 6:30 PM. Activities include skating, a costume contest, refreshments and music. The Park District lists it for all ages, so it works for kids, teens and parents together. No registration is listed. If you want to make a night of it, the park also shows Casper outdoors that evening from 7 PM as part of the free Campfire Horrors series. Note that a separate bonfire event at Douglass has been cancelled.
Skate or Treat 4-6:30 PM. Same night: Casper screens at Douglass as 'Campfire Horrors at Douglass', 7-8:40 PM, free, all ages. The 'Spooky Movie and Bonfire' at Douglass is cancelled.
