Hoop Dancing with Starr Chief Eagle

Lakota artist Starr Chief Eagle shares Lakota language, art and culture through a hoop dance performance, with audience volunteers invited to join in. Free, all ages.

Starr Chief Eagle, a Lakota hoop dancer and educator, leads an hour of performance and teaching at Douglass Park, sharing Lakota language, art and culture through the hoop dance. Volunteers from the audience get to try it themselves. It's free and good for all ages, a natural fit for Native American Heritage Month.
