One of the largest Mexican Independence parades in the Midwest, in Little Village.
The Mexican Independence Day Parade is one of the largest in the Midwest, marching down 26th Street through Little Village — the heart of Chicago's Mexican community. Floats, charros on horseback, marching bands, and a sea of green, white, and red fill La Villita in a proud, family-filled celebration.
Good to know: 26th St, Little Village. Free to watch. Arrive early for a spot and come hungry for the taquerías along the route.
