A multi-week Bavarian-style Oktoberfest in Fulton Market with Hofbräu München beer, German food, live German music and carnival-style activities.
Oktoberfest Nation sets up a Bavarian-style beer festival in Fulton Market for several weeks each fall, pouring Hofbräu München beer alongside German food and music. A live German band plays drinking songs and sing-alongs, with DJs and other entertainment on some dates. The food runs from bratwurst on a bun with build-your-own toppings to giant Bavarian pretzels and other German comfort food. There are games, too: stein-holding contests, carnival games and the Devil's Wheel, a spinning platform where you try to hang on as long as you can. It's all ages, but you need to be 21 with a valid government ID to buy or drink alcohol. Entry is by timed ticket, so book a slot ahead on the official ticket site. Organizers suggest arriving about 30 minutes after your ticket time, and they're clear on a few rules: the grounds are completely cashless (cards and Apple Pay), there's no re-entry, bags should be small and go through security, and parking nearby is very limited, so take a rideshare or transit.
Final weekend per ticket portal: Fri Oct 23, 4:00–9:30 PM; Sat Oct 24, 11:00 AM–9:30 PM; Sun Oct 25, 11:00 AM–9:30 PM (timed-entry slots). Earlier weekday slots generally evenings; weekends from 11 AM. Live German band; DJs some dates; stein-holding, carnival games, Devil's Wheel.
