A two-night darkwave, industrial and post-punk festival at Thalia Hall over Halloween weekend. Hosted by Wildcat Shadow and Sindy Vicious, it pairs live bands with DJs, drag performers, visuals and vendors.
Sanctum is a two-night festival for fans of darkwave, industrial, post-punk and goth, held at Thalia Hall in Pilsen over Halloween weekend. Hosts Wildcat Shadow and Sindy Vicious put together a bill of live bands alongside DJs, drag performers, visuals, installations and vendors, so there's something going on in more than one room. This year's lineup includes A Split Second, Zanias, Buzz Kull, Crash Course in Science, Aux Animaux, Kontravoid, Sacred Skin, Automelodi, MVTANT, Sleek Teeth and more. Saturday is Halloween night and adds a VHS Dungeon Room, a costume contest and a photobooth, so it's worth dressing up. You can buy a single night or a two-day pass through Thalia Hall's ticketing on TicketWeb; early-bird tickets have already sold out and prices vary by tier. Both nights have doors at 6 PM and music starting at 7 PM. The show is 17 and up, so bring a valid ID. Thalia Hall is at 1807 S Allport Street, just off 18th Street.
