A Light in the Night Fall-4-All gathering in South Deering, hosted by Claretian Associates as part of the City's Chicago Fall Fest 2026. City-listed Fall-4-All events feature free food, giveaways, activities, resources and a DJ.
Light in the Night is South Deering's Fall-4-All gathering, set for Wednesday, October 28, from 4 to 7 PM at 2400 E. 105th Street. Claretian Associates is the host, and it's part of Chicago Fall Fest 2026, the City's citywide effort, running October 16 through November 2, to give kids and families safe ways to celebrate the season in their own neighborhoods. The City describes Fall-4-All events as free community nights with food, giveaways, activities, a DJ and local resource tables. The 4 PM start makes it easy to come straight from school, and it wraps up by 7 on a weeknight. It's a neighborhood event, so expect families and neighbors rather than a big festival crowd. No registration or age limit is listed, and admission is free. For the full list of Fall Fest events around the city, check the City's Fall Fest site, and send questions to MyCHIMyFuture@cityofchicago.org.
